QuickBooks 2011 for Mac now supported on Lion

Today we launched release R10 for QuickBooks 2011 for Mac that fixes all the known issues with QuickBooks 2011 running on Lion. These fixes make QuickBooks 2011 for Mac compatible with Mac OS 10.7 (Lion). QuickBooks 2011 for Mac is now supported on Lion.

The issues fixed are:

  • Emailing forms in PDF doesn’t work.
  • Printing crashes.
  • Crash Catcher crashes.
  • Registration issues.

We’ll continue testing when the final version of Lion is released and work hard to get you any fixes that may be necessary as soon as possible.

If you’re using QuickBooks 2011 for Mac, please update your software.

  • If you don’t have QuickBooks open, you’ll be prompted to update the next time you use QuickBooks.
  • If you have QuickBooks open, choose QuickBooks > Check for QuickBooks Updates.
  • If you’re not sure if you have the R10 update installed, choose QuickBooks > About QuickBooks. You should see QuickBooks 2011 for Mac, Version V12.0.9 R10. If you don’t have this version, choose Quickbooks > Check for QuickBooks Updates.

Many thanks to our users who installed Lion’s GM release and helped us identify problems you saw. You were a huge part of getting this release out ahead of Lion, and we appreciate all your help.

We’ll continue to update our Lion news feed with more information as we have it.
